Short bio
Macedonian-Swedish classically trained clarinetist Blagoj Lamnjov (Blago J on Spotify and all streaming platforms) pushes the boundaries of the clarinet, blending Macedonian folk music with the sensibility of the Western classical clarinet sound. Influenced by a wide range of musical genres, Blagoj’s performances deliver a deeply expressive concert experience, offering a closer look at the clarinet as an instrument and a more familiar image of the Balkans and Macedonia, creating a bridge between the old and the modern worlds.
